2. Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure â€" There is no better way to celebrate camaraderie, activism and hope than with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Over the years, 43,000 participants have been attracted to the race and the foundation has surpassed its money raising goal by more than $200,000.

3. Arkansas Travelers Baseball Games â€" The Travelers’ home playing field â€" Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock â€" has been recognized as one of the best ballparks in all of minor league baseball. People of all ages come out to the field from April to September of each year and support the team for fun, fellowship and baseball.

4. Oaklawn Park â€" You can enjoy the thrill of live horse racing, along with corned beef sandwiches and cold margaritas, January through April at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. Past Arkansas Derby winners have moved on to fare well in the Triple Crown races.

5. Little Rock Marathon â€" One of the best marathons in the region, the Little Rock Marathon is scheduled in March. The winner of the marathon will go home with the largest medal of any race in the country.
